Constitution Watch Carolina operates strictly within the protections of the First Amendment to the United States Constitution. Our authority is limited to observation, documentation, and reporting on matters of public accountability. Field Correspondents do not act as law enforcement officers, do not exercise governmental authority, and do not intervene in official duties.
Field Correspondents may record, observe, and document any activity that occurs in public spaces or in locations where no reasonable expectation of privacy exists. This includes interactions involving public officials, government employees, and law‑enforcement personnel acting in their official capacity.
Field Correspondents may not detain individuals, conduct investigations on behalf of any agency, interfere with official duties, or represent themselves as law enforcement. All activities must remain non‑confrontational, lawful, and respectful of time, place, and manner restrictions.
Our role is limited, deliberate, and constitutionally protected: to observe, to document, and to ensure transparency.
What We Do
